Decorating, DIY, and cleaning tips to bring life to your home this spring.

Today, I gave my living room a makeover, did some cleaning, and changed up the decor to welcome spring in style.

Let me tell you about my experience decorating my living room with a personal and sustainable touch. As a decor fanatic, I always look for creative ways to breathe new life into my home, so I decided to make my own coffee table instead of buying an expensive one online.

I got a solid wood board at the DIY store and some rustic-style wooden legs, and it was as easy as screwing them together – voila! A budget-friendly and high-quality coffee table.

Additionally, I want to share a cleaning tip for sofa upholstery. I use the famous magic formula from @LaOrdenatriz, it works wonders and is very easy and inexpensive. You just need half a liter of hot water, 2 teaspoons of soap flakes (can be substituted with grated glycerin soap), and 60ml of ammonia. Mix everything in a spray bottle, spray it on the sofa, then rub it with a microfiber cloth, and it comes out super clean.

Regarding the decoration of the shelves, all the products are from the store Knuthouses.com, which is a store for household items and decoration with endless wonders, all handmade and sustainably made. They have authentic artisanal gems. Here are some photos of some things:

I chose a variety of sizes and shapes of decorative objects to create visual interest. It is also important to use books to add height and stability to decorative objects and make sure to leave some blank space to avoid overcrowding the shelves.

Another great idea is to use plants or flowers to add life and color to the shelves. I chose to put some beautiful flowers. Additionally, I added a neutral-toned rug (also from the same store) to give a sense of comfort and some light-colored cushions that also provide a sense of comfort. Storage baskets are an excellent idea to organize blankets and keep everything looking tidy.

In short, decorating our homes does not have to be expensive or difficult. I encourage you to experiment and give your space a personal and sustainable touch. And if you want to see how I made my coffee table and learn more decorating tips, don’t forget to watch my video. See you next time!
