How I turned my closet area into a cozy study area in one weekend

I was a bit bored seeing my dressing area so dull and bare every day, I had a vanity in my dressing room but I wasn’t really using it because I like to get ready in the bathroom, plus I wanted the closet area in my bedroom cozier and warmer, but I also wanted to do it in a weekend and without spending a lot. So I got to work and here is the result of my little transformation.

I started by painting the walls a cool, welcoming white to give the room a warmer look.

Then, I placed a wooden frieze on the wall to give it a natural and decorative touch. I bought the wood cut to size and then I painted it a soft green color (verde masilla from the same brand) to complement the white of the walls. To finish the wall decoration, I placed a strip of pine wood in the natural color of the wood on top of the frieze.

Above the frieze, I applied decorative vinyls with leaf motifs, I bought these on Aliexpress at a very good price, here is the link: Leaf vinyls. This small detail made the wall even more attractive and welcoming.

In addition, I replaced the cabinet handles with wooden slats that have the same effect as long handles, but in a cheaper way.

To complete the transformation, I added curtains made from recycled plastic bottles, which added texture to the room. In addition, I added an IKEA Billy shelf, a desk and an oak laminate mirror. The desk is perfect for writing in my journal and painting with watercolors, and the mirror is decorated with a string of LED lights that adds a warmer and more relaxed atmosphere. Finally, I placed a Nordic-style chair to complete the decoration.

In short, the transformation of my closet area into a cozy study area was a success. Everything I did was with cheap materials and in a weekend, but the result was incredible. I love my new room and I am sure that you too can transform the decoration of your room with these little tricks.
